Privacy Policy

Quizkie is a trivia game from a small independent developer. We collect only what we need to run the game — leaderboards, streaks, badges, and player-vs-player challenges — and we keep that surface small on purpose.

What we collect

Account information (only if you sign in)

• Nickname — a 2–20 character display name you choose. Visible to other players on the daily leaderboard, points leaderboard, and challenges.
• Email address — only if you sign in with Google or Apple. We use it to identify your account. It is never displayed to other players.
• Device ID — a randomly generated identifier stored on your device so you can keep your guest progress without an account. It is not used for advertising.

Game activity

• Daily quiz submissions — your score, completion time, points earned, and the date you played. Stored on our servers so the daily leaderboard can rank you.
• Streak and monthly points — derived from your submissions, used for the points leaderboard.
• Badges — which of the 15 achievements you have unlocked.
• Challenges — when you send a 1-on-1 challenge, both players' scores and times are stored against that challenge until it is complete or expires (48 hours).

Notifications (local)

If you enable "Daily quiz reminders" in Settings, Quizkie schedules a local notification on your device. Notifications are scheduled by the OS — they are not pushed from our servers, and we do not receive a copy.

Practice mode

Practice quizzes are entirely local. Practice scores stay on your device and are never sent to our servers.

Third-party services

Google AdMob (ads)

Quizkie shows a short interstitial ad after each completed daily quiz. AdMob may collect a device identifier and similar diagnostic information to deliver and measure ads. We do not share your nickname, email, or score data with AdMob.

Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple (optional)

If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we receive a unique account identifier and your email address from the provider. We do not receive your password. We use this only to identify your account on our servers.

API hosting

Daily quizzes, leaderboards, points, badges, and challenges are powered by a small backend we operate. Standard server logs (IP address, request timing) are kept transiently for abuse prevention and debugging, and are not linked to your account profile.

What we do not collect

• We do not sell or rent your data.
• We do not use your data for targeted advertising or build a profile about you outside the game.
• We do not track your location.
• We do not read your contacts, photos, or files.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. When you do:

• Your nickname, email, and any linked social accounts are permanently removed.
• Your scores remain on the daily and points leaderboards anonymously, so that other players' rankings (which depend on relative positions) are not retroactively changed.
• This action cannot be undone.

Children

Quizkie is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where that is the relevant age). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced inside the app.
